Install and rating data for Iran’s most important apps, captured weekly from the four domestic app stores that matter: Cafe Bazaar and Myket on Android, Sib App and Sibche on iOS. Each capture is archived, so the dataset compounds. A weekly English-language read on a market that publishes almost nothing in English, and the only iOS series on Iran that exists in any language.

A dot means the company is not listed in that store, which is a finding rather than a gap: several of the largest Android names have no iOS listing at all. Ratings show the score and the number of raters behind it, because a 5.0 from three people is not a 4.3 from twenty thousand.
How to read this. These are figures published by Cafe Bazaar itself, for the Android version of each app, so they are a relative scoreboard on that store rather than a national total. Every capture carries its date and methodology version, and each row links to the listing it was read from.
Why the stores are never merged. The four stores do not measure the same way. Cafe Bazaar and Myket publish install bands. Sib App publishes an integer rounded to one to three significant figures. Sibche publishes an exact integer. Summing or averaging across them would produce a number that looks authoritative and is not, so the board shows one store at a time and the platform is stated on every figure.
Why iOS is a separate market here. Iranians cannot use Apple's App Store normally, so iOS distribution runs through domestic stores. Sib App and Sibche are the iOS equivalents of Cafe Bazaar and Myket, not a long tail, and this is the first English-language measurement of either. A reader comparing two companies should compare them within one store. Until 21 September this page described both iOS stores as Android; that correction is on our corrections page.
More apps and more stores are rolling out as the App Index expands.

Published research signals per sector per week. Every cell is a count of verified, source-linked entries in the public record. Density reflects both market activity and desk coverage: the record begins late June 2026, so early weeks read thin because coverage was ramping up, not because the market was quiet.
155 of 279 signals in this window carry no sector tag and are not on the map. A cell therefore reflects tagging as well as activity; a sector that looks quiet may be one whose signals were not tagged, and a change in tagging practice would show here as a change in the market.
No external provider measures Iranian web traffic precisely. Panel networks barely reach inside the country, so what they capture is diaspora, VPN-exit and out-of-Iran usage. That makes absolute numbers unpublishable, and the desk doesn’t publish them. What is shown is narrower than a ranking: the relative ordering of Iranian platforms as one provider’s panel sees them, which is an observation about that panel and not a verified order, because the panel’s coverage can differ from one platform to another; and the referral graph, who sends visits to whom. The graph is evidence about how the ecosystem is wired, not about its size, and each desk reading beside a flow is a hypothesis the flow is consistent with, not a confirmed relationship.
