A hacker using the alias irleaks published a sample of stolen SnappFood data on Breach Forums and Telegram on December 31, 2023. The hacker claimed over 3TB of data across more than 20 million customer records (usernames, password hashes, emails, full names, dates of birth, phone numbers), plus vendor, rider, order, and trip records. SnappFood confirmed the breach publicly on Twitter/X the same day, said payment card CVVs, passwords, and expiration dates were not accessed, and said it later reached an agreement with the hacker that kept the data from being sold or leaked further.
