Online insurance platforms recorded 16,000 billion toman in sales and 4 million customers in FY1403 (2024-25), roughly $258M at the FY1403 average free-market rate (~62,000 toman/$). The total potential online sales capacity was put at 53,000 billion toman, about $855M on the same basis. FX note: the rial has weakened materially since FY1403, so the toman figures are the more reliable read of period scale; at today's free-market rate (~178,000 toman/$) the same 16,000 billion toman would convert to about $90M.
