Dehghannia, adviser to the deputy head of Iran's Headquarters for Combating the Smuggling of Goods and Currency, said on 19 August 2026 at the Zarati conference that the deadline for online gold platforms to connect to the Central Bank of Iran's Nazer monitoring system falls on 6 September 2026. He said the system has been launched and is now in operation, and that a number of online gold and silver trading platforms have already connected on a pilot basis, giving regulators the systems infrastructure needed to monitor online gold and silver trading. He framed the move as a response to sustained growth in online gold trading and public take-up of the platforms.
