At INOTEX 2026 on Friday 4 September 2026, Seyed Mohammad Hossein Sajjadi Niri, head of the Iranian Venture Capital Association, said the regulations and mechanisms governing innovation funds have not adapted sufficiently to the needs of innovation financing, and that despite revisions many funds have failed to play their expected role, including preparing businesses for listing on the stock exchange. He pointed to new entrants from the capital market into innovation financing and framed connection to the capital market as necessary for growth at scale.
