Ministry of Energy identifies over 1,000 MW of unauthorized crypto mining capacity

The Ministry of Energy has identified more than 1,000 MW of unauthorized cryptocurrency mining capacity in Iran. The government is simultaneously pursuing policies to restrict high-consumption electricity customers and purchase electricity from energy markets for industries.
