At the 25 August 2026 launch of the 2024-25 e-commerce report, SnappShop CEO Amin Samiei said Tehran holds about 15-20% of Iran's population and close to 35% of the country's total income, and that this concentration, together with one-to-two-day delivery, gives the capital a far deeper online supply of goods and services than the rest of the country. Growth in provinces such as Yazd, Isfahan and Mashhad will not come from logistics upgrades alone, he said; it needs targeted investment and a specialist focus on local markets, and beyond the private sector, macro policy reform to lift the sales volumes of formal platforms.
