Iran's digital economy share rose to 7.1% in year to March 2025

Gholamreza Goudarzi, head of the Statistical Centre of Iran, said on 26 September 2026 that the digital economy's share of GDP was 5.4% in the Iranian year ending March 2024 and 7.1% in the year ending March 2025, and that the figure for the year ending March 2026 will follow in the coming months. Tehran, Isfahan, Khorasan Razavi, East Azerbaijan and Alborz are the five provinces with the highest digital economy share.
